The Lace Curtain
Description
The Lace Curtain is a cool stop to make if you are in Millard County. The Lace Curtain is part of Pahvant Butte, which is an extinct volcano. Lake Bonneville once surrounded this volcano. W/hen it erupted, the water from the lake cemented the volcanic ash and gravel, creating the Lace Curtain.
You will be able to drive right up to the Lace Curtain, which is on the north slope of Pahvant Butte. Walk along the front of it and enjoy the intricate patterns formed in the rocks. There are all sorts of holes and cubbies. The rock looks like dripping candle wax, I haven’t seen any other rocks like this before.
