Moonshine Arch
Description
Moonshine Arch is a beautiful arch and window feature near Vernal, Utah. If you have hiked to Wildhorse Window, this hike feels very similar.
The hike initially is along a dirt track, then becomes more interesting as you gain elevation and start to tread on varied sandstone surfaces. As you climb, there are some worthwhile views along the way and not just at the arch itself.
The Moonshine Arch is an impressive span. The highlight was climbing up into the alcove to look back through the arch and also the window within it. It is always fascinating to see the textures, openings, and undulations formed by wind and water.
