Behold, the Travel Tree

Is anyone else needing to cut themselves off from coffee mug purchases from the National Park gift shops? Still itchy to buy a little something to commemorate your outdoor adventure trip? I am guilty of too many mugs in the cupboard and of being uber nostalgic about our trips. Before we undecorate from the holidays, I thought I would share our hiker holiday creativity.
This year I decided to put up a smaller Christmas tree and adore it with ornaments we buy at the end of our trips or of ornaments I have made. I will watch for patches or cool stickers to purchase and then create my own ornaments with the ole glue gun and some ribbon.
The little tree turned out great! I have fond memories of various trips as I walk by and my cupboards have more room with the reduced frequency of purchase of mug or glass souvenirs.
